Australia's energy policy is going down a road of 'financial ruin'

Sky News host Rita Panahi compares the United States and Australia's energy policies, stating Australia is going down a road of "financial ruin" despite the country's "enormous" deposits of coal, uranium and gas. "They [Americans] pay a lot less for electricity than we do despite the fact that we are sitting on enormous amounts of coal, uranium – enormous amounts of gas," Ms Panahi said. "We are absolutely going down a road of financial ruin, and it is deliberate and is crazy – even before the Trump administration takes over America's ahead of us."
