Australia and US ‘bound by history’: Anthony Albanese

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has addressed Donald Trump’s presidential election win noting Australia and the United States are “bound by history”. “Australia and the United States are old allies and true friends,” Mr Albanese said. “Our nations are bound by history and shared sacrifice, a commitment to common values and above all, enduring respect and affection between our peoples. “I look forward to talking with President Trump and working with him in the interest of both our nations.”
