Australia is America's 'most glorious' friend: US Ambassador

US Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy claimed the United States has no more "trusted or capable" ally than Australia during her address at the National Press Club. "I am surprised that Australia doesn't appreciate how important it is – Australia may be a middle power but to the United States, you are number one; we have no more trusted or capable ally," Ms Kennedy said during her National Press Club address. "Australia is hands down our most glorious friend and that's because of the generations of shared sacrifice, mateship, friendship and service that came before us."
