MHC Digital Group Founder Mark Carnegie claims Australia’s energy crisis has “nothing to do” with cryptocurrencies and “everything to do” with poor long-term planning. Following Donald Trump’s US election victory, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have seen a surge in value. However, there are concerns about the energy intensive nature of Bitcoin mining. “What’s happening in Australia in terms of the energy crisis has nothing to do with cryptocurrencies and everything to do with poor long-term planning,” Mr Carnegie told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
