Australian cartoonist Michael Leunig dies aged 79

Australian cartoonist, poet and writer Michael Leunig has died aged 79. He worked as a cartoonist for The Age for 55 years and his work was often displayed in galleries. In 1999, the National Trust declared him a national living treasure. Mr Leunig's death was announced on Instagram, alongside one of his works showing an angel hovering at twilight.
