Australian government to provide $10 million in aid to Vanuatu

The Australian government will provide $10 million in aid to support Vanuatu’s earthquake recovery efforts. The package will focus on restoring essential services and infrastructure for future disasters, prioritising the education, health and transport sectors. This comes on top of Australia’s initial $7 million package. The 7.3 magnitude earthquake claimed 14 lives and impacted approximately 80,000 people.
