A team of Australian scientists are set to launch a new lunar mission scheduled for takeoff in 2025, sending plants to the moon with the aim of growing them there. Swinburne Space Technology and Industry Institute co-director Rebecca Allen joins Sky News Australia to discuss more about the upcoming lunar project and its logistics. Ms Allen explained that the Australian Lunar Experiment Promoting Horticulture will use a rideshare approach, partnering with Intuitive Machine. The plants will be launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket as part of Intuitive Machines' third lunar mission.
