Australian US relationship bigger than any ‘one personality’

Assistant Defence Minister Matt Thistlethwaite reacts to former US president Donald Trump’s conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records. “The alliance that Australia has with the United States is fundamental to our own security going back to World War Two, and the alliance is much bigger than any one personality,” Mr Thistlethwaite told Sky News Australia. “I’m confident, and the government is confident, that regardless of who is in the White House post-November, the alliance between our nations … will go from strength to strength in the future.”
