Australians are ‘ashamed’ of Labor’s response to the rise of antisemitism
Liberal MP Andrew Wallace claims Australians are “ashamed” of how Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is tackling the rise of antisemitism across the country. His remarks come after travel warnings were issued for Jewish people visiting Australia following Melbourne’s synagogue attack. “It’s heartbreaking for the Jewish community in Australia, and quite frankly, it is heartbreaking for Australians,” Mr Wallace told Sky News Australia. “I could not tell you the number of people in my electorate who have stopped me in the street and told me how ashamed they are of how the Prime Minister and this government has represented them, represented Australians or lack thereof, on this issue. “The Prime Minister is constantly playing catch up here.”
