Author hopes to liberate readers with new book

Author Andie Davis wants to liberate all readers with her new book. The United States author with Montserratian and Barbadian roots says it took seven years to write the book titled 'Let Me Liberate You', which culminates around the festival of Crop Over. The book is a satire based on contemporary Barbados and looks at class, race and complexion dynamics in a Barbadian society. Ms. Davis says so far, feedback from readers in Barbados and abroad is positive, and any Barbadian reading it will know it is about Barbados, based on the themes.
