Aviation marathon supports menstrual hygiene education

Hundreds of runners flocked to Entebbe Road today to take part in the annual aviation marathon, which raises funds to support the girl child in menstrual hygiene in Budondo and Namayingo districts. On February 2nd of this year, NTV ran a story about girls having to use soil wrapped in polythene bags to manage their menstrual periods. Now, over 20,000 girls have been tagged to be trained on how to make local pads using the proceeds from the run.
