The Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT) says it is ready to assist with transportation issues in St. Andrew. This follows issues raised by residents during the recent St. Andrew Speaks, where Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and Member of Parliament Dr. Rommel Springer, were in attendance. Among the issues highlighted were long delays and the availability of buses for the parish. AOPT Chairman Roy Raphael says they are prepared to help find a solution for the problems. He also says there are applications for the transport augmentation programme that are awaiting approval. Mr. Raphael believes it will take 50 more buses to provide a full fleet to be able to service the island.
