Bail Act heads to the Upper House for approval
Following yesterday's passage of the Bail Act in the Lower House, the Legislation headed to the Upper House for approval. Leading off the Debate in the Senate, Minister in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Senator Chad Blackman, stressed the Bill is not a knee-jerk reaction. He stressed the tightening of the grounds on which one can qualify for bail demonstrates Government's zero tolerance for crime.
