Bamboo residents fear heavy rainfall

The mere mention of the possibility of heavy rainfall is enough to re-traumatise residents of Bamboo Number 2. For a while, the community near the Caroni water course was spared Mother Nature's wrath. However, in 2018 and again in 2022, their riverbanks betrayed them, causing widespread devastation in the village. So, with an active hurricane season forecast this year, CNC3 News sought to find out how residents are faring and what work is being done to mitigate the effects of flooding. Akash Samaroo has more.
