Bank Indonesia keeps rates unchanged

Indonesia's central bank has held its main interest rates steady, keeping its focus on stabilising the rupiah, which had earlier hit a four-month low against the dollar. In announcing its final monetary policy decision for the year, Bank Indonesia held the benchmark rate at six per cent, after dropping them in September for the first time since 2021. Chandni Vatvani reports from Jakarta.
