Barbadians urged to assist in fight against dengue
With Barbados recording four dengue fever related deaths between October 2023 and May this year, an infection control specialist is calling on Barbadians to play a role in reducing breeding sites across the island. This from Director of Clinical and Diagnostic Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Dr. the Most Honourable Corey Forde, who was speaking on the QEH Pulse radio show on CBC's Q100.7 FM. The outbreak started last October with 1,133 confirmed cases and was officially declared over by the Ministry of Health and Wellness this year.
