Barbadians are being asked to remember those living with HIV/AIDS facing discrimination and other issues. This appeal is coming from Minister in the Prime Minister's Office with Responsibility for Culture Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight who is calling on citizens to take responsibility for vulnerable people in their communities. She was delivering remarks during the opening of the Division of Culture's Health Expo and Presentation to the Food Bank to commemorate World Aids Day 2024. Minister Munro-Knight says the 34 food vouchers valued at $100 each are as a result of a fundraising initiative undertaken by the Division last year. Meanwhile, Director of the National Wellbeing & HIV Commission Lynn Armstrong is thanking the Division of Culture for its unwavering support and commitment. The Commission's annual Love Safely Literary competition, which is in its fifth year, will be launched soon.
