Barbados ensuring labour inclusivity through legislation
Through legislation, Barbados has sought to ensure its citizens are included in the labour market and don't face discrimination. Minister of Labour, Social Security and the Third Sector, Colin Jordan says Government's commitment to this was seen through the passage of the Employment Prevention of Discrimination Act. He outlined some of the areas it covers during a seminar - part of the ongoing Annual Meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank. It was titled 'Employment Equity: Promoting Inclusion in Caribbean Labour Markets'. Minister Jordan says Barbados acknowledges the challenge with its declining population.
