Barbados monitoring progress of Cuba agreement

Barbados is monitoring the progress of the cooperation agreement with Cuba that arose from bilateral talks between the two countries during the 2022 CARICOM-Cuba summit Ambassador to CARICOM David Comissiong, who's also Chair of the Barbados Task Force says 10 different areas of cooperation are being focused on. He recently travelled to Havana where he followed up on the cooperation agreement. Given Cuba's expertise in genetic engineering and biotechnology, Mr. Comissiong says that island will be assisting Barbados as it moves to build out its life sciences industry.
