A new Barbadian rum has entered the market and it's associated with the Barbados Museum. The Garrison Grog is a 14-year-old rum produced at the Foursquare Rum Distillery. It was launched last evening at the Barbados Museum, where the idea of showcasing the island's heritage in a bottle originated resulting in the production of Garrison Grog. Speaking at the event, Director of the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, Alissandra Cummins said the rum was created to celebrate their 90th anniversary as an authority of the history, heritage and culture of Barbados. Meanwhile Master Distiller & Master Blender at the Foursquare Rum Distillery Richard Seale says the company has been looking for ways to build out the tourism product through Barbadian heritage. He says this collaboration with the Museum is a step in the right direction, not only for his company but also for the country.
