With the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill brought before Parliament, Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey says Barbados must ensure the various clauses are adhered to. He reiterated the legislation will go down as one of the island's most transformative. Minister Humphrey's comments came at the launch of the Calypso Report at the Yacht Club. Calypso is a ground-breaking music and visual arts project, especially for the deaf community. The Barbados Council for the Disabled, Audiovisability, the Maria Holder Memorial Trust, Decibels, Peter and Jan Boos Family Foundation and Special Kidz International are among the partners.
