Barbados ramps up fight against dengue
As Barbados ramps up its fight against dengue fever, health officials have not only intensified their surveillance but have repeated calls on citizens and homeowners to adhere to legislation as enforcement has also been stepped up. Deputy Chief Environmental Health Officer Ronald Chapman says the matter is being take seriously given recent increases in dengue cases. Mr. Chapman was a guest on CBC TV8's Mornin' Report. Amid concerns about the increasing rodent population on island, Mr. Chapman suggests some Barbadians no longer take pride in keeping the island clean.
