Battle for Pokrovsk: Russian makes advances to capture strategic town

Russian forces launched an offensive to capture the strategic town of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine in spring this year. As of yet They have failed to capture it so far, but have been making advances in the Donetsk region bringing them closer to the town. Despite heavy losses, Russia is unlikely to abandon its offensive.
