BC seniors scammed out of $300K by so-called friend

A Mission, B.C., couple has been bilked out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by a close family friend. The scam against 69-year-old Judy Lehmann and her 79-year-old husband Bernie, began in 2019. The family was threatened and told they were targeted by a criminal gang and needed to pay money to avoid physical harm. Long-time family friend Tyler Willard was sentenced last month to nine months of house arrest for extortion. But the Lehmann's had already handed over close to $300,000, and as Taya Fast reports, they say it's unlikely they'll get any of the money back.
