His extensive residency has provided him with a unique perspective, allowing him to observe and compare the differences in urban governance concepts between China and foreign countries. From a foreigner's viewpoint, he discussed the advancements in Beijing's urban public services and public participation in governance, highlighting the contrasts in governance philosophies between China and the West. In the interview, Crossman shared his experiences living in Beijing, noting that improvements in public service facilities and increased public participation have significantly enhanced residents' quality of life in recent years.
