Benton's biggest fan lives on: Community honors beloved Freddie Rhinehart

The community of Benton is mourning the loss of a treasure who they call Benton's biggest fan, and are doing everything they can to keep his memory alive. Freddie Rhinehart has left his mark on the city, from strolling the streets of downtown to eating at his favorite restaurant, and always front and center on Friday nights to cheer on the Panthers. "Freddie was a legend. If you say Freddie in Benton, everybody knows," said Jim Gardener, play-by-play broadcaster for the Benton Panthers. "I can’t imagine Friday nights this coming fall without Freddie.
