Former speaker of the house Mitch McConnell posted, “violence has no place in our politics. We appreciate the swift work of the Secret Service and other law enforcement". “Political violence is absolutely unacceptable. I wish Donald Trump and anyone else who may have been hurt a speedy recovery,” Mr Sanders said.
