‘Best bits of news’: Latest inflation data shows trimmed mean ‘on the way down’

News Corp Real Estate Editor Tim McIntyre says one of the “best bits of news” to come out of the recent inflation data is that the trimmed mean is “on the way down”. This comes after the RBA decided to leave the cash rate on hold as it factored in the latest inflation numbers into its decision. “Which is sort of the middle range of inflation measures that they really pay attention to,” Mr McIntyre told Sky News Australia. “I really do think that there should not be any more rate hikes.”
