Beverly Hills vs. Los Angeles: Same street, different looks

It’s the same street at the border of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. But things look different depending on which side one may be standing on. Neighbors say there is a stark contrast between the two cities along Whitworth Drive as the Beverly Hills section looks freshly paved while the side within the jurisdiction of the city of Los Angeles shows more cracks and broken patches. The city of Beverly Hills told NBC Los Angeles’ Alex Rozier that it’s continuously “working hard to maintain the roadways to prevent injury or possible car damage.” In response to our report, the city of Los Angeles said it’ll reach out to Beverly Hills to explore partnerships to address the issue.
