Biden administration allowed for the ‘resurgence’ of ISIS

Former Department of Homeland Security adviser Charles Marino says the US administration has taken its “foot off the gas” concerning the Islamic State. The suspect who mowed down dozens of New Year's revellers in Louisiana had allegedly claimed he joined ISIS prior to killing at least 14 people in the car ramming attack. “We also have not been going after ISIS as aggressively as the first Trump administration was,” Mr Marino told Sky News Australia. “That has allowed a resurgence of ISIS which also is not good, especially from a recruitment and radicalisation standpoint.”
