Biden administration scores ‘diplomatic victory’ with Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire

US President Joe Biden is set to launch a renewed drive for a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal after a ceasefire deal was reached with Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. “It gives the Biden administration a little diplomatic victory before it goes out of office,” Mr Danby said. “It also means that there are rockets not being launched on Israeli cities and similarly that Israeli air forces are not attacking military sites in Lebanon where there are sometimes, regrettably, civilian casualties.”
