Biden chose Kamala Harris because she ‘ticked the identity politics boxes’

The Australian Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris as his running mate because she “ticked the identity politics boxes”. The first debate between US President Joe Biden and his predecessor Donald Trump was held last week. “He chose Kamala Harris as Vice-President, partly because she ticked the identity politics boxes, but, in my view, mainly because she was such an uninspiring alternative,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “Lots of presidents have done this. “Nixon chose Agnew and Ford because he thought they were hopeless.”
