Birds are more likely to crash into buildings and die in six areas in Singapore, according to a study. These include Springleaf - with shorter buildings near forests - and Tengah, which incorporates forests into its design. In fact, it is the shorter buildings near greenery that confuse birds. CNA spoke to David Tan, a Singaporean PhD candidate from the University of New Mexico, about his seven-year study.
