BJP MP's Brother Out On Bail Over Alleged Illegal Tree Felling in Karnataka
Vikram Simha, brother of BJP MP Pratap Simha, has been granted bail in a controversial tree felling case in Karnataka. Simha was accused of illegitimately felling nearly 126 trees and allegedly smuggling the lumber into different districts of Karnataka. The arrest was made following an intense pursuit by forest officials and the Central Crime Branch (CCB), culminating in Bengaluru where Simha was taken into custody. Pratap Simha has claimed that the arrest of his brother was a targeted move against him implemented by Karnataka CM .
