Blackmon wins cocktail competition

Derrick Blackmon of The Bahamas has retained his title as winner of the international crafted cocktail competition. The event hosted by Remy Cointreau Barbados, was held at Haymans Market Sunday. Blackmon beat out 11 other mixologists from the region, with his cocktail called "The Culture". In addition to the coveted title, Blackmon has also received an all-expense paid trip to the world's leading cocktail conference for drink industry professionals, 'Tales of the Cocktail', which will be held in New Orleans in July. Mount Gay Commercial Manager for Barbados Anies Jordan, congratulated him on his second win in as many years.
