Bolivian authorities confiscated 11,000 illegally transported turtle eggs in northern Bolivia, officials said. The haul occurred at midnight in the Amazonian city of Trinidad during a routine control operation by the forestry police. Officers became suspicious of a vehicle parked by the roadside and, upon inspection, discovered several black plastic bags filled with the turtle eggs inside.
