BREAKING: Guilty verdict reached in Delphi double murder trial

The jury in the trial of a Richard Allen, an Indiana man charged with murder in the 2017 killings of two teenage girls who vanished during an afternoon hike near their small hometown of Delphi, reached verdict of guilty Monday. According to NBC Affiliate WTHR, Allen was found guilty on all four counts. It took less than two minutes for jury to come in, read the verdict and leave, WTHR said. Allen was found guilty of felony murder of both Abigail Williams, 13, and Liberty German, 14. Allen was also found guilty of knowingly and intentionally killing both girls, WTHR reported. The jury, which has been sequestered for 26 days, deliberated for 19.5 hours, WTHR said. Allen is expected to be sentenced Dec. 20.
