Priti Patel has become the first Tory MP to be voted out of the party's leadership contest. MPs cast their opening votes this afternoon, reducing the number of candidates from six to five. She only got 14 votes from 121 Tory MPs. The remaining candidates for Conservative leader are: James Cleverly, Robert Jenrick, Tom Tugendhat, Mel Stride and Kemi Badenoch.
