BREAST CANCER #1 KILLER OF SAINT LUCIA WOMEN, HEALTH MINISTRY URGES SCREENINGS

With Breast Cancer being the most common cancer among women in 157 of 185 countries in 2022, health officials in Saint Lucia are working to decrease the number of breast cancer-related deaths on the island. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharon Belmar George reiterated the importance of regular screenings for early diagnosis during a press statement for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October.
