Football politics is an unpredictable plain to traverse. Dedication, creditable administration, and love for the sport are sometimes not enough to get you the nod of the electorate. However, Brian Layne successfully manoeuvred that plain for over 45 years in Central and nationally with the TTFA and, fittingly, he filled the role of Feature Speaker at the recently-held CAFF Awards.
