Brisbane now the second most expensive capital city in Australia

Last month, Australian house prices hit a new record high, with capital cities leading the way – particularly Brisbane and Perth. “Perth really leading the way and continuing to be the nation’s top performing market with prices in Perth up a little over 20 per cent over the past year,” Ms Creagh told Sky News Australia. “Brisbane home prices have also continued to record consistent strong growth over the past 18 months. “Brisbane is now the second most expensive capital city in the country, on par with Canberra, and ahead of Melbourne.”
