Britain pledges more aid for Gaza ahead of Cairo summit

Raising the necessary funds to rebuild the extensive destruction in Gaza presents a formidable challenge due to the vast scale of the needs. A conference held in Cairo has recently concluded, aiming to boost the flow of humanitarian aid to the region. The British government has pledged $24 million in funding for Gaza, with $15 million designated for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the World Food Programme. For the current financial year, the UK has committed a total of $126 million to the Occupied Palestini-an Territories.
