Five arrests have been made in relation to the death of Hollywood actor Matthew Perry. A post-mortem examination has found Mr Perry died from the “acute effects of ketamine”. One medical examiner claimed Mr Perry had levels of ketamine in his system similar to those administered to an individual undergoing general anaesthesia. “My office and our partners ... began an in-depth, wide-ranging investigation. That investigation has revealed a broad, underground criminal network responsible for distributing large quantities of ketamine to Mr Perry and others,” US Attorney Martin Estrada said during a media conference. Among those arrested are Mr Perry’s personal assistant, two medical doctors, and an alleged drug dealer named the “Ketamine Queen”, and the five have been accused of “taking advantage of Mr Perry’s addiction issues to enrich themselves”.
