Broadband upgrade: Firms prepared to double tech budgets to innovate, grow product offerings

News of a planned upgrade to the nationwide broadband is already driving some companies to improve their own hardware. Some companies told CNA that they are prepared to double their yearly budget on newer laptops and router upgrades that would enable them to tap on faster Internet speeds, and innovate new products. But industry players said more needs to be done to level the playing field, so that smaller firms can also benefit from the nationwide network upgrade. Nadirah Zaidi reports.
