Budget allocation too thin to cater for small scale industries
Millions of youth involved in informal small and medium-scale industries or commonly known as Jua Kali and operating on very tiny budgets, may keep struggling for finances to formalise or scale up their businesses. Despite government funding, the money is too little to cause any big change in their operations. The minister for youth and children affairs, Balaam Barugahara, says the 8 billion shillings allocation in the next financial year for millions of operators outside the non-agricultural sector is too little to cater to the group. He also says through his ministry, he plans to form a joint ministerial committee on the formulation of an ICT hub, to support software engineering graduates, who are unable to find employment yet they have the skills of the future.#NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
