Budget committee wants borrowing to be external

The budget and privatization committee wants the national treasury to adopt the optimal borrowing strategy of more external debt compared to domestic debt that they proposed in the budget policy statement 2024. At the same time, the committee wants an annual borrowing plan two months before the beginning of a new financial year while also publishing simplified citizen-friendly documents on matters of budget and debt.
