Building bridges and investing in change for the commonwealth
As the recession caused by the global financial crisis is slowly being managed at different speeds across various Commonwealth settings, countries were left equipped differently to handle the next wave of challenges appearing on the horizon. Some emerged from the recession or slowdown with unemployment and other social indicators rapidly returning to normal, and with macro-economic indicators in a healthy state. With fundamental changes taking place in the global trade landscape, the Commonwealth, with its diverse membership, is coming to terms with these changes. This shifting landscape presents challenges and opportunities for Commonwealth countries to expand their trade—both between members and overall. To accelerate this idea, the Commonwealth Secretary-General attended the Non-Aligned Movement Heads of State Summit as a special guest and also appeared as a special guest on the show. Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, extends a warm welcome. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
