Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom - One arrested for staging unlawful demonstration

One man has been arrested at hoima city police station for participating an unlawful protest. He was Matching at Rukurato road heading to Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom head offices and other demonstrator managed to escape and took off. Brian Aliguma, the protestor was demanding for the resignation of Andrew Kurungi Byakutaga, the embattled Prime Minister of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, to pave the way for new interim leadership led by Dr. Baltaza Kasilivu Kyamaywa Atwooki. Byakutaga rejected the interim leadership, citing illegal appointments. He also noted that the current police deployment at the kingdom is aiming at keeping law and order in the kingdom. While on phone interview the Albertine region police PRO SP Julius Allan Hakiza confirmed the arrest of Brian saying he will be charged with threatening violence
