Bureau of Meteorology apologies for false tsunami warning

The Bureau of Meteorology has apologised for accidentally issuing a tsunami alert for the east coast. The message was sent out yesterday afternoon, warning of the danger posed to New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and Tasmania. It was cancelled a few minutes later. The Bureau said it was part of a software test.
