Busia security - Two held for impersonation as Emyooga leaders
Police in Busia are holding two suspects on allegations of impersonation as leaders of one of the Market vendors’ Emyooga SACCO. The two, identified as David Othieno, who purported to be the SACCO chairperson, and Patrick Wandera, are both residents of Buhunya village in Buswale Sub County, Namayingo district. The duo was netted from the office of deputy RDC, Busia, in Samia Bugwe South constituency. Busia district Deputy RDC, Grace Kanuna, ordered the arrest of the duo at his office as they tried to get clearance of approval of over 10 million shillings from the traders’ SACCO. The suspects admitted being residents of Namayingo district, and not Busia, prompting the RDC to call for police to arrest the culprits. The two are still in custody at Busia Central Police Station.
